Hemming and Hawing

Waiter

Do you think he knows what he's doing when he gives me that look, or is the sweet, innocent, love-me-forever-and-give-me-a-thousand-kisses look something he comes by honestly?

I arranged the naps a bit differently today and it resulted in a bit of alone time with each kid. Mary got hers during a lot of extra pre-nap stories while we waited for Dorian to fall asleep. Thomas got his when he woke from his nap. He helped me sew. He's a very good helper.

Wait, yes, that's right. Sew. I HEMMED PANTS. I know I know, big deal. But I'm not actually very good at much of anything, and I've had these pants since Thomas was a few weeks old and I bought post-pregnancy pants. And then I never ever hemmed them.

Oops
See? I told you I wasn't very good.

Cookie
There's my helper again. He's eating a cookie. Cookies keep him quiet. See his little helper down on the left? She's eating the crumbs from his previous cookie.

Hemming

I hemmed.

Hemming

And hemmed some more.

Not TOO Bad
Yep, I realize I should have had brown thread. But I didn't have any brown thread.

Hemmed!
Et voila!
